Our Story

How we ended up doing this

We pour and repair concrete for homeowners around Lindsay, driveways, patios, walkways, and slabs, the stuff most of a property actually sits on. Most of us got into this trade doing the physical work first, forms and finishing, before running our own jobs. It's outdoor work in Valley heat and Valley clay, and neither one is forgiving if you cut corners.

If you're on this page, chances are you've got a slab that's cracked wrong, sunk on one corner, or a driveway that never drains right after a storm. Most of that traces back to what happened underneath before the concrete ever got poured, a thin base, no rebar, joints cut in the wrong place or not at all. We fix what's failing and we build new work so it doesn't happen again, proper compaction, rebar where the load calls for it, and joints cut within a day so the slab cracks where we decide.

Why Choose Us

What you get when you hire us

None of this is complicated. It is mostly just doing what we said we would do.

Licensed and Insured

We carry the license and insurance concrete work in California requires, and we'll show you the paperwork before we start. That protects you if a slab settles wrong or a form gives way during the pour.

Permits Handled

Driveway approaches, retaining walls, and some slab pours require a permit from the city or county, and we handle that paperwork ourselves. Skipping it can mean tearing out concrete later if it doesn't pass inspection.

Clean Site When Done

Broken-up concrete, forms, and wood scraps leave with us, not stacked at the curb for you to deal with. Your yard should look like a job site while we're working and your yard again once we're done.

Written Quotes

We measure the site and give you a written quote that breaks down square footage, thickness, and finish, so there's no surprise line on the invoice. If clay soil or drainage means extra base work, we tell you before we pour, not after.

On-Time Scheduling

Concrete has a cure schedule and we plan around it, not around convenience. We'll tell you upfront when you can walk on it and when you can drive on it, and we stick to that timeline.

Local Valley Knowledge

Tulare County dirt and Central Valley heat both work against a fresh pour, and we've adjusted our mix timing and finishing for it more times than we can count. That's the difference between a slab that holds up and one that spider-cracks its first summer.

Common Questions

Things people ask us

Questions about who's doing the work and how we operate.

How long has Heritage Concrete been doing concrete work?
Heritage Concrete has years of hands-on experience pouring and repairing concrete around the Central Valley. Specific licensing and experience details can be confirmed by phone before any contract is signed.
Do you use your own crew or subcontract the work?
Heritage Concrete uses its own crew for forming, pouring, and finishing, rather than subcontracting the work out to a different outfit. That keeps the same people accountable from the estimate through the final finish.
Can I see examples of past concrete work?
Photos of completed driveways, patios, and repairs are available on request, and Heritage Concrete can often point to a nearby address with similar finished work. Seeing a stamped or exposed aggregate finish in person is the best way to judge the texture and color before committing to one.
Why hire a small concrete contractor instead of a big company?
A smaller concrete contractor like Heritage Concrete typically has the owner or a lead directly involved on site, which means decisions about base prep, joint placement, and finish get made by someone experienced rather than passed down through layers. Response time on questions or issues also tends to be faster.
Where is Heritage Concrete based?
Heritage Concrete is based in Lindsay, CA and serves surrounding Tulare County communities. Jobs further from Lindsay may involve a small travel charge depending on distance.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Concrete work books up fastest in spring and early summer when weather is most predictable for pouring and curing. Booking a few weeks ahead is typical, though small repair jobs can sometimes be scheduled sooner.
Do you clean up the site after the job is finished?
Old concrete, forms, and debris are hauled away as part of the job, not left for the homeowner to dispose of. The work area is left clean enough to use as soon as the concrete has cured enough for foot or vehicle traffic.
What happens if something gets damaged during the work, like a sprinkler line or fence?
Licensed and insured concrete contractors carry liability coverage for accidental damage to sprinkler lines, fencing, or landscaping that happens during demolition or pouring. Any damage should be reported and documented immediately so it can be addressed under that coverage.
Will you finish a concrete job that another contractor started or left incomplete?
Taking over a partially finished concrete job is possible, but it requires inspecting what's already been done, forms, rebar placement, base compaction, before agreeing to finish it. Work that doesn't meet code or is structurally questionable may need to be removed and redone rather than built on top of.
How can I tell if concrete work is being done correctly?
Properly done concrete work includes compacted base material, rebar or mesh appropriate to the load, control joints cut within about a day of the pour, and a finish free of trowel marks or discoloration from bleed water. Asking a contractor to walk through these steps before and during the job is a reasonable way to check the work.
